This boy has had such a crazy good year. He started off the year with me not being sure how it was going to go, but here he is wearing a hat, sitting in a chair, and singing songs! He even sat backwards and made some punching motions with a boy that is his friend and allowed a girl to hug him. He isn't Mr. Popular or the life of the party, but he is his own little person and does his own thing and is happy. He is reading above grade level and knows mom's phone number and his address and wants to start texting. He still loves video games and is starting to sound out words in the games which is awesome. He is great at math and is solving problems all the time. He is a patient and kind teacher with his sister at school work and praises her for correct answers and hard work. He isn't as patient with her as a sister or when she plays with his toys, but we are getting there. Ms. Lilly has been an incredible kindergarten teacher and has taught him so much about how we behave at school and how we act as part of a community and we love her. I know that she has started off his school career in the perfect way and we can never ever thank her enough. I am excited for 1st grade, but I worry about the lost time of imagination and freedom that he has now that will never come back. Sweet, sweet little guy that he is that loves his mom and writes his stories about snuggling his mom and playing games with his sister.
