Look how close to standing on his own he is!

Two firsts for this cute baby today. He sucked thru a straw...which wasn't that great cuz Diet Coke was in the cup. But he looked totally surprised and horrified. Then, he also sipped from his sippy cup and liked it!
Baby Boy is a pro at stairs now! Before we can even turn around he is up the 2 flights and starting the 3rd! He still hasn't figured out down, without yelling for one of us to come get him. But up, he is quick and safe. He hates the gate thing and tries to climb it or pull it down, usually on top of his head, every time it is up. Not sure if this is good or not? We had a lot of fun, and a lot of pain, at the Universal and Disney Resorts. It was a record heat month and that sucked. I could barely breath half the time...I missed our nice, cool air! Anyway, here are a bunch of pictures of our adventures!
Now hear this! I am NOT, refusing, will not, can not, will not be persuaded or bribed or taunted into traveling a far distance with this child again until he is much older and can be reasoned and disciplined and have expectations on him. I don't care how many "helpers" are there or the promises of sleeping or drowsiness. I pronounce you all liars and I will not fall for your shim-sham again! The flight home was a nightmare, the airport was a nightmare, the shuttle and car ride home were a nightmare. Nope, this child is at the point of too squirmy and I am too old and care too much about my own and those around me's eardrums to repeat this error again. So... count me and Tenz out for the foreseeable future. Unless it is within a few hours of here, we are out. I know none of it is his fault... he is just a baby. And that is exactly my point. He isn't able to understand the shushes or distractions or that he has to stay seated or that he can't crawl around. It is cruel and unusual punishment for him as well as myself and everyone around. Travel is truly and evil, evil thing. Mind you, this is the next day... if I had written this last night it would be 6 times and long and use 10 times the expletives! So, Tenz went on his first ride, ride today with Peter pan. He seemed to really like it, and he only got mom's underchin in the picture. Yay. He also went on Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Winnie the Pooh, and Small World, which he was so excited about he peed out his pants! And we were on such a good streak... Anyway, he I also took a picture looking down which is how I saw my son most of this trip! Today was quite a day... a short day at Universal, but it was fun. Cute baby's stroller was too weighed down to stand up! HA! So that poor baby's cold got worse over night and he was up wheezing and couching half of the night. He was so good, but neither of us got much sleep. So we called in sick from our vacation and stayed in and napped today. He napped more than I have ever seen and was still happy to go to bed tonite. I hope that he sleeps better tonite. He was looking much better this afternoon, so I am hopeful.
Got cutest baby his first set of Mickey Ears today! SOOOO adorable! He caught a little cold sometime, so today was a little rough. He was happy, crying, happy, crying all day long. I think that we won't go out tomorrow. Oh what a busy, busy day! We went to Universal Studios, Island of Adventure, today. It was super busy, being President's Day and all, but we got through it. The Hogwart's Express ride made me super sick and I felt off kilter for the rest of the day. Tenz was super amazing, but exhausted. All the colors and sounds and people watching, he took 3 naps today. He was falling asleep at the table at Emeril's, poorest baby. I have lots of pics on the camera, but I forgot the card, so that will have to be a special update when I get home. For now, here are some cute pictures of that baby from my phone. |
