Our baby is the opposite of Pete's niece...he was laughing and smiling and being the cutest little munchkin ever and when Pete got the video camera out, he stopped. No posing, no smiling, no laughing. He was not performing for the camera at all. It was sad...

Happy Father's Day! And to honor it, Pete dressed him in his Handsome like Daddy shirt and all the FD festivities wiped him out... Pretty much the cutest picture ever! Don't worry folks...we weren't driving him like this, this is where he rested whilst we packed up the car. He is such a happy, smiley baby that everyone who meets him can't believe how big and strong and good he is. Pretty much the most awesome baby ever.
Sweet baby is 2 calendar months old today...he is becoming such a little person talking and gurggling and making noises and smiling when he is talked to and held and touched. He is still not totally laughing when dad hangs him upside down, but he is responding and that is coming. Pete will be so happy. So I decided to have a photo shoot today. There are lots of outfits that he hasn't worn yet and threatens to grow out of...so I dressed him up to celebrate his monthday! Also, baby is sleeping in his own room tonight. He has slept in his room for naps, but not in the night. Mostly because we don't have a monitor and felt like his cry wasn't loud enough to wake us up from down the hall. But he has proven his lungs are wonderful and he can scream like a banshee when he wants our attention. So, he is nestled up in his bed and going to sleep there all night, or so we hope. We went on a long family walk this evening. We want Tenz to be out in nature and not a hot house plant...like both of his parents ;-D. We are planning some hikes and stuff this summer, we want to be out and more active so we are all more healthy. He was also a very smiling baby today. I video taped him making this cute Vulcan/Wookie type sound, but it was in the dark so you can't really see it...plus I can't upload video on to the site. But he is adorable and that is what it all keeps coming back to. 60 on the 16th! Gotta love those 6's. Anyway...baby continues to grow at unbelieveable rates and be super adorable all the time. We went to Beans n Brews with Aunt Julie today and he was smiling and laughing and cooing. He just loves attention! He is growing so much and beginning to experiment with his voice. He is squealing and yelling just to hear himself. He has, however, been really fussy. Well, maybe fussy isn't the right word, he doesn't want to be on his back. he wants to be sitting up all the time. But he isn't big enough to sit up on his own, so someone has to keep propping him up or we have to hold him sitting up. This is his nap picture...please note the HUMONGOUS drool puddle next to his head.
I was working today and didn't see cute Tenz very much...and when I did see him, I set him on the couch (way back) to make him a bottle and he ROLLED off the edge! UGH! Luckily, there was a pillow and a large blanket right there and he wasn't hurt. But he was scared and cried a real and genuine cry. Poor baby. He settled down fairly quickly and has no marks or anything...but still. Awful, awful occurance. Now, he can roll and we have proof! He has been working on rolling over and when he gets momentum he doesn't stop, which is obviously what happened. Our couch is a little sloped and he just used that to take a tumble. The pictures of him alone were taken after the fall, so you can see he is still a happy baby. The other 2 are with cousin Sabrina who calls him Tintin and says she loves him everyday. Cute, cute, cute! Baby Slaveen... those Dr. Who fans out there will know what a Slaveen is, and altho my baby is not schmarmy or non-trustworthy, he does stretch out his neck and make this face that looks just like the Slaveen's when they are shedding their human skin to eat. Yeah. I'm a dork, and I have a baby Slaveen. But, luckily, he is also a turtle at times, and a froggy, and a cherub. Cute baby.
His eye is still a little cucky and he seemed more congested last night than he has in awhile, but he isn't getting worse and his eye is getting better. He is still in good spirits and eating well. My baby is so adorable and sweet and cute and precious I can't hardly take it! He has been feeling poorly (with his eye and all) but he is so good still. He lets me wipe the goop out of his eye without squalling, he lets us bath him, change his diaper, change his clothes, move him from here to there and all over the place...all without squalling and hardly even squeaking. He is sleeping through the nite, even tho that means an early wake up. And he puts himself to sleep most nights and naps. He is just such a charmer and smiles and talks and coos and kicks and flails his legs all about. Adorable. That is the only word for him.
His new thing is wanting to be on his belly... he folds him legs up under him and bends like a little froggy and lays his head on anything near. My arm, my leg, his Boppy, his seahorse stuffed animal. It cracks me up! We don't let him sleep this way if we aren't right there to watch him, but he seems comfortable, so we let him when he can take a little nap, nap on his face! HA! Additionally, we had a little mommy/baby nap today and daddy snuck in and took a picture. Yeah, we're pretty adorable. Lazy Sunday...we didn't leave the house today and baby slept a lot. We didn't even get him dressed. What a good day. He did have a warm, restful bath and we got all his bits lotioned and clean. We got the crib moved (see RANT entry) and his Graco thing re set up. He doesn't have to sleep propped up tonite, so I am excited to have everything back to our normal. Excpet I have school tomorrow and Pete's reign of baby watch is starting. Tenz wore his cute little Rhino jumper today! I am not sure it will fit him again, but it sure was cute so we had to take a bunch of photos! He was super adorable. We went to Super 8 today and he slept nearly the entire time and when he wasn't asleep, he just sat there happily. We also went and got a huge deal on a crib thanks to Gma W. It was already assembled, so Pete and Chad had the great idea to bring it over the balcony instead of disassembling it and bringing it in the normal way. It was pretty funny and now it is stuck in our room as it is too big to fit out the door. HA! |
